Piranha Player now supporting Quicktime and Stereoscopic Playback on Linux

Interactive Effects (ifx.com) today announced version 5.1 of its Piranha Cinema Player system for Linux workstations. The Player is a pipeline integratable playback system featuring full audio and flexible image format support. New features include the ability to read Quicktime files and a new option for stereoscopic 3D support. Stereoscopic features include support for both Active and Passive viewing. Piranha player is currently being used at Vanguard Animation on their upcoming animated film "Space Chimps".
